WELCOME WEEK AT MIZZOU

August 14-August 18

At the University Of Missouri, incoming students experience an entire week before school begins that is full of activities to help them get involved and comfortable on campus. As a campus ministry that partners with the University, we have a unique opportunity to be one of many ways that students are able to find genuine friendship and belonging within their first few days on campus. We partner alongside Mizzou in helping students move into their dorms, and also host events the entire week — some crazy (Sasquatch hunt), and some necessary (free donuts and coffee). With our big Salt Company tent setup across from the Student Center, we encourage students to stop by, get to know us, and be invited into real, authentic, community.

COMMUNITY GROUPS

The author of Hebrews encourages us not to meet for services and go our separate ways, but to consider how to energize each to love and good works (Hebrews 10:24-25). We believe this happens in the context of authentic relationship with one another, which requires time and honest conversation. Community groups are a safe place to ask questions and to build relationships with other students. Community groups are same gender gatherings of students led by student leaders that meet both on and off campus each week. Our desire is for authentic relationships, genuine connection, accountability, and honest conversations about the Bible to take place within our city.

RETREATS AND CONFERENCES

Fall Retreat (Oct 4-6, 2024) | Conference (Jan 3-5, 2025)

Throughout the school year, Salt Company loves taking weekend trips to give students space away from the busyness of school and work to grow closer to God, build relationships, and have fun. In the fall, we have Fall Retreat, where you can deepen your faith with other students. This will be the best weekend of fall semester - you don't want to miss it! Salt Company Fall Retreat is at Cross Pointe Camp and is for college students. You'll gather for sessions to learn about and worship Jesus, share life in small groups, and have free time with friends. In the spring, we attend The Salt Company Conference with thousands of students from campus ministries in The Salt Network to celebrate and worship God together.

LEADERSHIP

The Salt Company is powered by students who want to help others know, love, and follow Jesus. Students can connect with each other in smaller groups and learn how to disciple others while being discipled themselves. Our aim is to prepare our students to share the Gospel and live boldly for Jesus wherever they go after college. At Salt Company, we believe in students being raised up to reach the campus of Mizzou. Student leaders lead Salt Company Community Groups and set the pace for their peers by starting honest conversations about life, God, and what they’re learning at Salt and in the local church.

Applications for the 2025-2026 school year will open in the spring.
