OUR STORY

The Salt Company is the college ministry of Anthem Church. We exist to help college students at the University of Missouri and surrounding colleges know, love, and obey Jesus.

Anthem Church was planted in Columbia, Missouri in the fall of 2016. Anthem is a part of The Salt Network, a network of churches that has a goal of seeing churches planted, communities strengthened and Gospel witness extended to the ends of the earth. Here in Columbia, we desire to reach college students with the transformative truth of Jesus. We want to raise them up to be gospel-fueled movement makers and release them to fulfill the Great Commission - to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18-20).

The Salt Company is all about Jesus. We believe He lived, died, and rose from the dead. That changes everything about who we are and how we live.

When Matthew 5:13 was written, salt was vital to people’s lives. It cleansed wounds and preserved and seasoned food. What does that mean for us today? As Christians, we are the salt of the earth. We should be a preserving and cleansing influence in the world and contribute to the flourishing of all people.  But only Jesus does this perfectly, so we are dependent on Him. 

Salt Company exists to help people know, love and obey Jesus.
